I’ve had a lot of actors sign in for their audition recently, and then magically disappear.
Normally it’s not a big deal for me; HOWEVER, these happen to be auditions where I have to bring people into the room according to how I’ve paired them. There is nothing more frustrating then having to WAIT for an actor to reappear. Especially if there are clients in the room waiting. It’s embarrassing for me, for the clients and the actor.
Here’s a good tip: SIGN IN ONLY WHEN YOU’RE READY!
What does that mean:
-
If you have to pee first then do it.
-
If you have to read the sides and prepare a bit, then do it.
-
If you have to catch up with a fellow actor you haven’t seen in ages, then do it!
BUT DO ALL OF THAT FIRST, THEN SIGN IN. Then sign in. THEN.SIGN.IN.
Kindly,
The casting director that’s on your side
